WOW (Wade on The Water)

Third time for this rental.
Judy as memorable as in the past.
The sheets on the beds was a new pleasant addition.
The only concerns were unavoidable.
Trouble with the thermostat was addressed ASAP.
We accidentally made contact with the owners and informed them of loose toilet handle and dishwasher started leaking the last night and the loose master bath toilet handle.

We Truly ehjoyed this property. We have rented other properties before but this one is special. The only thing that could have improved our stay is if we could have had access to the lift. Everyone, in our party, was over 70. The lift would have made things easier.

Wade on Water is a wonderful cabin. The kitchen is well laid out and well stocked. The location is amazing. The views from the master bedroom are as good as it gets. Our only complaint was the mosquitos being so close to the dunes. Not sure if we just caught it on at a bad time and being from Louisiana we're used to them.

This was our third year at WOW and it was better than ever. The location is fabulous and the house is beyond comfortable. I will continue to go every year with my family and grandchildren as long as I can - hmmmm - maybe I shouldn’t give such a great review!!

Rented this house for us and our three kids, two adults and one teen. Nice quiet neighborhood. Beds were comfortable, on the soft side if that is what you like. Daughters wished the upstairs bathrooms had more counter space, but they made do. Son enjoyed having his own King size bed, as he is 6' 4". Kitchen was very well stocked with glasses, plates, utensils and pans if you want to cook. WARNING: DO NOT walk on the lawn barefoot. There are small sharp burrs everywhere.

WOW is a wonderful beach house....on the front row, plenty of room, great family room/kitchen layout; the house was perfect for our family vacation. The views were terrific the proximity to the beach couldn't be beat. All I can say is....WOW!!!
Cobb Real Estate was a great company to work with in planning our vacation. We will use them again next year!
.....now if you could do something about those darn mosquitos!!!

This house was absolutely perfect - location, comfort, easy access to beach, clean, all the decks, great decor - I could go on and on. Part of me doesn’t want to rave like this cause I don’t want to not get it last year! Not a single complaint whatsoever.

We had a great time with friends. The house had plenty of room, was clean and in a great location with perfect view of the ocean, especially in the mornings. The fire pit was an added bonus for s’mores! The only downside was the walkway to the beach could have been maintained more to not have to wade through the brush to get to the beach and maybe also increase the mosquito population. Be sure to bring bug spray!

The house was really wonderful. It was clean and beautiful. Very close to the beach. The private walkway was very convenient. Took a while to get our deposit back, as state in the contract. We also had to buy toilet paper and trash bags for the house. The linen fee was too high for us, but I believe linens are included in the summer. Overall, it was a good experience.

Had a great experience. Everything in the house was perfect. Great views and nicely appointed features in the house. Quite time of year on the beach made it even better! Only issue I have is that linens and towels are an extra charge, whereas in the summer it is included.

We stayed for our wedding and honeymoon. We hosted our family for the wedding and a couple days after. Was completely accommodating for 10 of us no issues. The views are breathtaking and we will remember this week forever. Everything was top class from bedding to dishes. We felt as if we were secluded and had our own private beach.

Wow! What an amazing end of summer vacation for the family! Four rooms and two stories is a must for a family of 5 with guests. The design of the home is well thought out. We came together as a family for meals and to watch the summer games but we also had down time to ourselves. Just amazing! This is our third summer to rent from Cobb and each home has been a five star experience. Rent for a week! Bring the kids! Bring the dogs! Make sure to rent a beach golf cart!

The home is very well maintained. The property description accurately represents the home. The location is isolated and feels like an island paradise. The property and home is very clean. The linen service is a must! Cobb has amazing customer service. I would recommend this home to anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxing beach vacation.

Lots of space
Amazing kitchen
Sonic Ice Machine (need I say more)
Dual showers downstairs to wash off sand
Swings for everyone
Bathrooms for everyone
Plenty of closet space for food storage
Coffee maker upstairs and down
Beverage frig upstairs and down

Cons:
Wifi isn't consistent (the house needs a router)
The lift is not accessible to renters
Leaving this heavenly home after a week of bliss

The Wade on the Water house is a very nice place, great location, great arrangement of rooms and one of the best places to stay on Bolivar Peninsula.

We've been renting houses on Bolivar for generations, and this was the best. The house itself is gorgeous and perfectly suited to comfortably hold the allowed number of guests. Lots of bathrooms, too! But the best part about WOW is the location. Very quiet beach while still being close to everything you need to be close to.

Perfect location and every amenity in the house you need. We relaxed and played as a family. Friendly staff at the realty agency and everything was as it should be. Everything in this house is state of the art brand new and a pleasure to have had for the week. Decks are above 5 star! Highly recommended rental.

Overall my family and I had a great time. The house was beautiful and clean. I wish I would have asked if both the king beds were on the same floor as my dad has issues walking up the stairs. Also, if you plan on having adults sleep on the bunk beds, the mattresses are not comfortable.. they are made for kids. I was a little disappointed that the linens (towels and sheets) were left wrapped in saran wrap in a laundry bag for us to make our own beds and distribute to the rooms. I would expect the quality of the pillows and linens to be better based on how much I paid for this rental property. The location is great, right on the beach with little traffic. Easy access to walk back and forth if you need something from the house. The views are amazing. The grill could use some upgrading.. very hard to light charcoal with the wind blowing.. it took about an hour each time we wanted to cook out to get the fire lit.

We were astonished at the luxury of WOW. Pictures do not do it justice. The views and the Sonic ice machine were the best. The house was immaculate and well maintained. The only thing I would have changed was the sleeping arrangements. We had 9 adults and no small children, so bunk beds in small bedroom were a bit if a problem. Everything else was perfection, so we made it work. Thank you for this beautiful property.

We were there for a family reunion and wanted our own place to relax between all the gatherings. We intentionally booked an additional night after all others left, just for us. This place is BEAUTIFUL! The design is such that every bedroom goes out to the balcony and since it was built close to the water there is nothing but the ocean in the view! Well decorated, well appointed. In excellent condition. If you rent it, please take good care of it.

Excellent location with easy access to beach via foot or cart! Three of the four bedrooms can easily accommodate 8 Adults. The fourth bedroom is perfect for two adults or children not three! BBQ grill needs to be replaced. All other amenities were excellent dwn to the Keyurig units upstairs and down.

We loved every second of our stay at Wade on the Water on Crystal Beach! The house was immaculate, beautiful, and spacious. We had a party of 9 as well as our dogs and there was plenty of space for everyone. We spent the majority of time at the house outside on the deck enjoying the beautiful views. There were plenty of linens, plates, silverware, etc. The house is 5 mins. from the closest grocery store and about a 10 min. drive to the ferry. Crystal Beach is definitely more quiet and family orientated, but it's nice to know it's just a quick ferry ride to Galveston where all the action is. We didn't eat at any restaurants on the peninsula, but we did get some to go food from Ocean Grill (6 min. drive), and I saw 3 or 4 different restaurants on our way to the ferry so there are a few different options. We hit up Schlitterbahn and Pleasure Pier, then went back to our quiet little getaway. We will be back, and I hope to stay at WOW every year!

Great experience. We were very satisfied only one little bloop. The night of the storm - Tuesday night - we lost complete power from about 7:00 until 11:00. we had no candles or flashlights. An emergency kit might be helpful. But we managed - we know the weather is not in your hands. We would definitely love to come back - WE HAD A GREAT TIME. WE WERE VERY SATISFIED - We had a wonderful week. Thanks

WOW!!!!!!!!!! Wade on the Water was complete perfection!!! The house was just absolutely stunning! The location was ideal-directly on the beach, with water views all around. It is definitely by far the best location in Crystal Beach!! The decor was exquisite; from the beautifully appointed guestrooms to the gourmet kitchen, no detail was overlooked! You feel as if you are in paradise!!! This house is wonderful for pets and children. The main living area has a huge outdoor space with plenty of room to enjoy the jaw dropping views! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!
