This gorgeous beach house is even better than it is described! The house is on a corner giving it direct beach access. Although technically it is row 2, it just gives you a large yard in front of you before the dunes and the beach. The 2 houses on either side are closer to the beach, but they don’t obstruct your view of the Gulf. The house itself is beautiful and spacious. It exceeded our expectations. We used the decks everyday and grilled out in the tiki bar one night and had a fire. We made some awesome memories. We were there the 3rd week of March and it was so quiet. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the whole place was spotless and well-maintained. We did rent the winter linens, which was worth it for us. We wouldn’t have had room in our van for traveling with sheets and towels from WI. We barely made it to the office by 4:30 on a Sunday to avoid the $50 penalty and they were very friendly. We didn’t have contact the rest of the week, because our stay went so smoothly. We enjoyed everything we did in Crystal Beach: fishing with Sharklife Outfitters and Galveston Party boats, beachcombing, kite flying, renting an 8 seater golf cart from TX Custom Carts, walking the jetty, visiting Fort Travis, crabbing, skim boarding, and boogey boarding. We also enjoyed these restaurants: Tia Juanita’s, Huli Huli Hut (in Galveston), Busta a Lime, Hardhead’s, Tiki Bar and Panini Press. The Big Store was friendly and convenient. We loved our stay in Crystal Beach and would highly recommend Janie’s!

Amazing beach house. Great view right on the beach. Wonderful grassy area for the children to play badminton and Bocce balls. while we cooked BBQ. Plenty of kitchen and dinner ware, comfy beds, clean linens lots of room to be able to have quiet moments
Front porch for relaxing with morning coffee as we watched the sun rise.
Big grocery shop close by if needed.

Our family of 8 had a great 2 night stay for Mother’s Day Weekend at Janie’s at Crystal Beach/Port Bolivar Texas. EVERYTHING about the location of Jamie’s was just perfect. Cabin was clean and well kept inside and out. You can’t get a better view of the beach, than at Janie’s on the top floor deck. We rented JANIE’S last year , and we would rent Janie’s again.

As always, Janie’s provided the perfect environment for our vacation. Always spotless, we enjoy its proximity to the beach. Close to restaurants, the Big Store, and it’s a quieter portion of the beach. Already looking at dates for the next trip. Cobb always goes above and beyond to make arranging the details easy.

First experience with renting a house. I think it went really well and the house was amazing! Great location and price was great as well! Really should include the Cargo lift in rental though as there are so many stairs.

After losing our brother unexpectedly in Aug my sisters and I decided to have Thanksgiving with our families away from Houston. Our time at Janie's was very relaxing and much needed. We were all very well pleased and happy with our selection. This location is strongly recommended.

This house is beautiful, clean and roomy. We had 4 adults, 6 kids, a small dog and we never felt crowded. The location and view is perfect and the beds were very comfortable. The only problem we had was when the microwave stopped working and someone from Cobb was out in less than 20 minutes with a replacement. We will definitely rent this house again.

The house is missing some things that would take it from okay to good. Simple things like decent pillows and extra blankets for winter visitors. Also could use a little maintenance.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 8. Beautiful home in a great location. Only 2 complaints. No WiFi. I needed this badly to be able to work. The other was the mesquito's. It was almost unbearable. Not sure what Cobb can do about that, but it was definitely an issue.

Overall experience was great. Property management company was exceptional. had an emergency with one of our pets and had to head to head out right after returning from grocery store and agent went to house and put up groceries for us

Great house and superb location. Had only to issues: 2) Coffee maker stop working 2) upstairs a/c thermostat was working very erratically. Everything else was fine and we had a wonderful week at the beach with our family. The long dining table was great for feeding the group and playing board games at night. I would definitely recommend this house to my friends.

The Beach Home was great. The only thing that I would suggest is that you add ceiling fans in the upstairs bedrooms.
